Retro, Dance, Freak undercover the girl she needs a lover.

I like what I read in Rachel's blog so I'm going to steal her idea about the Public Humiliation Diet...it sounds pretty awesome to me though I don’t think public humiliation alone will do the trick. And I’d like to make long term changes instead of having a yo-yo diet fluke. So, here are the changes I’m trying to live into:
  • Limit snacks to fruits and veggies. (Shouldn't be too difficult I hope.)
  • No more snacking at work. (it isn't snacking so much as not bringing my own lunch or dinner that I get so hungry I order something...so I'll have to work on bringing a bag lunch for my shifts that are longer than 3-4 hours.)
  • Try to avoid prepackaged foods, including fast food as well as frozen meals or boxed snacks. (This is going to be pretty freaking hard for me seeing as how I work at McDonalds the king of all fast food joints...woe is my employment situation.)
  • Swap out soda for tea and water. (Done and done.)
  • Quality over quantity of food; (i.e. instead of chicken strip combo at Jack in the Box, make sweet tea, salad, and chicken with pasta.)
  • Find ways to be more active; even if not “exercising” (lifting weights, running, etc) be doing something more than sitting on my butt. (Inviting friends to go for a walk or going for a hike or riding bikes or just strolling around downtown Chico or going to a park.)
I will post my weight whenever I get on here so you can see my progress or slip ups.

Anyhoo, my day has been pretty chill even with my dad limbing trees for the better part of 5 hours and my mom and I hauling the limbs into a huge limb pile. I cleaned my car (which needed it desperately) and I'm showered and about to go to Casa de Paradiso with my parents and my dad's friend Butch and his wife. Should be a good night.
