Paper Mache Sputnik

My parents are going to a 50s themed birthday party for one of my dad's friends and he is determined to go as Sputnik so yesterday I helped him paper mache an exercise that will be the space craft and then he is going to spray paint the sphere and 4 dowels silver and I'm thinking a pair of black suspenders would be a good addition as well to keep it up. We have done two layers of paper mache and I think that at least 4 will be necessary to have the strength needed to stay together whilst at the party. I hope he takes pictures.

I'm reading Being and Nothingness by Sartre and it is waaaay heavy in the thinking department. I think my Existential Lit class is going to be way harder than I thought it would be. But I'm going to stick it out. Because I want to...and because I have to.

I have a mocktail social thing for the sorority on Thursday. :) It should be fun. It gives all the new potential pledges to get to know each other to help our pledge class become close with each other and not just with people we already know that are already sorority members. I have to go shoe shopping for it and I'm looking forward to it. Michelle is so excited that Mort and I are thinking of pledging she pretty much can't handle it. She couldn't stop smiling when she was driving us back to Mort's house last Wednesday because of the amount of girls that showed up. There were like 12. It was pretty great.

Thats all for now. :)

Peace.
